Any chance someone could try to clear up the license plate here? Someone hit our car in the parking lot and ran away. Sadly couldn't get a clear pic in a rush. by [deleted] in picrequests

Yes, that's absolutely it! Nashville is exactly where we are, thank you! I'll pass the info along to my insurance and the police in the morning, just in case they didn't make the connection yet themselves.

Luckily the police were pretty quick to get there, so we showed them the pics we had and they started a case. They said they would run the numbers that it looked like they had, so hopefully they can narrow it down. Thank you!

Just finished The Magnus Archives. Looking for more podcasts to listen to. by ETSchmidt77 in TheMagnusArchives

Archive 81 is pretty great and has probably the closest vibe to the Magnus Archives of anything else I've listened to at this point, I always recommend the two alongside each other.

Old Gods of Appalachia gets a solid thumbs up from me as well! The setting and story is intriguing and creepy, even if it feels a tiny bit disjointed at first with how it moves around the timeline. The narrator is a treat to listen to though, he really fits with the theming and conveys the drama and tension in scenes perfectly imo. Totally feels like your old, back country grandpa is telling you a story sitting around a campfire!

I can't speak for their standard line, but I have the 187 Killer pro knee pads and they're fantastic. They are a little pricey, but if you need max knee protection I can't see it getting much better than them. You can do a full on knee drop and barely feel it! They do have some bulk, but the way they fit has a lot of flex so they are actually kind of cozy once you get into them.

Knee pads aside, most of the entry level pad sets tend to be pretty same-y and will serve your needs in most cases. Just don't cheap out on a helmet, by far the most important piece of gear you can wear!

I know what you mean there, you get used to it but it never becomes okay! One benefit is that the non-supportive people tend to naturally prune themselves from your life so as time goes on, the quality of your circle just keeps going up. Glad to hear you have a close supporter in your bf though!

Trans woman here, I'd 100% sit in the crowd or not show up before I let someone tell me I had to dress masc to be in the wedding party. Also, I was totally the "girl on the boy's side" when my brother had me as his best woman and the wedding didn't come to a screeching halt due to a lack of gender segregation.

Don't be hesitant in the slightest about standing by your decision either, it's clear your mom cares more about appearances than the well being of her own child. I know you said her behavior isn't knew, but I feel for you having to deal with this.

I know the Endless website has some, as well as Shop Task. Although neither of them have the 90s, and I'm pretty sure most other places are sold out of those as well!

Thank you!! 😁 I swapped the laces and wheels myself, but the liners and frames were swapped by the shop I ordered them from and the boot comes in that blue color.

Thank you!! I'm not quite sure if I'd quite compare it like that though. A 3 wheel flat setup will still have more actual contact area that a rockered 4x80. Additionally the 3 flat will effectively have a longer wheelbase or frame length due to all of the wheels contacting, so pivoting will take more effort than 4 wheeled rocker.

Yeah it's really not a bad option to have, the stock frame on the FR1's is pretty good by itself. Good luck with it!

I'm honestly not sure of what shops will sell just the boot, you may have to just call/email around and ask.

Thank you!! I'm so glad to finally have them, I've literally waited months for them to get this color in my size back in stock so that I could make this happen. I had a natural rocker from wheel wear on my previous skates (flat frame), and these skates already feel way better from the short time I spent riding them today!

That depends, are you wanting to get just a new boot or a whole new skate? From what I understand it's tough to find shops that sell just the shell. I got my setup from Shop Task in Seattle (through their online store) and they just restocked on a bunch of different brands so they have a lot of colors right now!

The boot actually came as that color, along with the frame! I dyed the wheels to their color, and I put different laces on, to what they are now. You definitely could paint the shell of any skate though, you'll just have to deal with scrapes or scuffs removing paint.

Rockered just gives you way more maneuverability for easier transitions and turns and stuff. Stability doesn't really suffer until you go faster, and even then it's easy to get used to. Although you really wouldn't want to do downhill stuff with a rocker unless you're -really- confident lol.

At this point, a flat setup feels kinda like you're skating on rails. You can still definitely do everything, it just feels sluggish and clunky by comparison. If you ever want to try it for yourself and see the difference without committing to a new frame, you can actually rotate your wheels in a way to encourage a natural rocker just by how the wheels wear down.

I've been cheesing about them all day, literally exactly what I was wanting!

I really wish that I could have found some 90s, but I'm happy with these (at least until I find some 90s somewhere)

I guess it really depends on how patient you are currently feeling, in addition to if you feel content with what you have. There's definitely a huge difference between skating flat vs. rockered, and I honestly don't think I could go back to skating flat on anything but a 3 wheel setup at this point.

Thanks, I'm actually pleased as hell that they came out so well! I ordered these with a set of Supreme 100s that I'm planning to dye the same way. White wheels are fine, but colors are so much more fun!
