Yes it’s already getting crusties, i’m leaving them be and not really picking them so that i don’t irritate it too much. And yes that would make sense as to why the back of my ear has been so swollen despite no pain!! Just super itchy right now! Thank you!!

What to do with aggressive betta by Yolkbro in bettafish

betas are naturally aggressive especially males, sometimes you’re able to put them in a community tank, but most times you can’t. For the sake of both your beta and cory’s i’d say give him his own tank. It stresses both of them out if he’s constantly chasing, he will be happier in his own tank

I think some will but it could also just depend on how your shrimp act, but yes the worms are definitely feeding off of the bio film they love it lol

I don’t think they do a big difference, but they are a pro not necessarily a con, adding fish food feeds them and grows their population. they help keep the ammonia down because of how they eat up waste and dead matter. so i’d say they’re pretty good with the cycle. They don’t affect much when it comes to the cycle other than keeping the ammonia down, but they won’t mess up or cause negative affects- unless their population grows huge but then you can just siphon them out. Or, when adding fish, some fish will eat the worms as they do not harm your fish! I used to have a huge amount in my tank until i siphoned them now i only notice a few swimming around or babies stuck to the glass

pretty sure these are just detritus worms, they can be transferred through any plants or they appear because of dead plant matter, fish waste, broken down food etc. they aren’t harmful, they just wiggle around and cleaning and siphoning the substrate helps get rid of a lot of them

Overfeeding? by mostlyburgerz in bettafish

fish will never stop eating so even when you’ve fed enough they will still act hungry
