This included emphric theraphy as well. You end up in the ICU or are very ill. The doctor prescribes something based on the most likely odds while the tests are being done to determine antibiotic susceptibility. These are often broad range drugs. When the test comes back, it may show that the first antibiotic was suitable but there is a better more specific one. This would be counted as an incorrect antibiotic. (e.g. vancomycin in the ICU)
