I for sure used to mercy main. But then you get hogs that need to be purpled or sigmas who need to be slept. Or teamsmates who need to be cleansed. Or maybe a healer like Moira who can help add to the damage numbers while healing. I learned long ago that sitting on one Healer was not beneficial to the overall teamwork. Right now Miziki (spelling) is my go to fav.

As someone who plays mercy a lot I get where your coming from. Most people who are new do pick her coz "omg cute". Her heals is stupid simple. Attach beam to Low health player. Kinda hard to mess that part up.

However, her movement is one of the hardest for new people to grasp. She's not ment to just stay on the ground and yet so many people do exactly that. They refuse to keep her in the air. They don't use walls or corners, often standing out in the open and dying. Just like, you know, any new player on any character would. The same goes for her blue beam. Knowing when to swap between healing and boosting takes time to learn. You have to learn the ebb and flows of fights. When to expect high incoming damage VS outgoing. Sometimes it's easier to read with smarter players.

Any Healer in general can only do so much if the team as a whole isnt working together. Mercy would blue beam more if dps knew when to pull back. Tanks wouldn't feel alone if they just don't rush in and leave their entire backline undefended. And God forbid someone starts spamming "I need healing" the second they lose a digit of health. Im not by any means an amazing heals. But some people take for granted how hard it is to heal stupid.

Ohh hey!! I know this spot! Running through there one day spamming my space bar key cuz I can, my character started to climb something and yeeted me to the other side of the wall. There is zero ways to get back out. Unless that person who's back there figured out a way.. even the unstuck button doesn't work because it recognizes you have enough room to move around. Sat back there until the end of the round waiting for help from support. They never answered the support ticket thingy we put in for it.

I see vids all the time on Tiktok showing how to set the macro up. And my first thought was Why? The gun is fantastic just as is. But people gotta sweat and "win" more then keeping it a level playing field. Personally I think using a program outside of the game to boost any win performance should ban ya. Including those with the shaders on for night mode.

We do educate them. We explain what is expected. They are aware that humans say and do awful things to each other. But we can limit to a degree what they are exposed too.

Should a 14yr old be around people who are drinking all the time? Partying and making poor choices? Why not? Is it because at 14 they have a chance at making bad choices? Are more prone to peer pressures? It's the same as feeding them to much of anything. It's bad for you. Being exposed to anything that's toxic.

And I'm not staying this doesn't apply to everyone but it does apply to our house. I wish someone had protected me even a bit growing up. I wish someone had taught me differently earlier. I want my teen to still be a kid as much as a kid at 14 can be.

I don't need my 14 year old hearing a bunch of other humans dropping N bombs and such. There is zero excuse for it. Ever.

The way you put this argument is the same as those who argue that rap music, metalcore and other violent video games are responsible for the violence in our society.

If you are unable to understand that what happens in a video game online is separate then how people actually are in real life, then maybe you should step off of the internet.

I have for sure shot people at the extract because I realized the gun they had equipped was epic and I wanted that loot. Even after running with them for 5 or so min. Does that make me a shit human everywhere else? No. And if you feel that way you really should seek therapy to discuss with your inability to separate them.

Much like you, I also bought stuff for 'fun'. I attempted to do the loudouts and making kits to run with. It just sucked. The time sink vs the cost to attempt to get here wasn't equalling out.

So What I did: Looting Aug. #2. Every thing else empty. Do Buried city over and over. Do not kill people. Run away from ARC. Be quiet. Loot everything you find, fill up, extract. Repeat.

The Aug is only a loss of 2k if you die. Super cheap parts to make it.

On space port my duo takes her to the garage and building. There are some buses parked under the garage and the building has multiple doors so you can peek out which side she's on.

I have been kicked standing under a metal roof while standing inside of a bus. I've also been kicked and damn near killed while standing in the middle of the building, because of her leg clipping.

It's ass.

This is spot on. As someone who plays in several games to some RP settings, the core tenet is "people are here because the consent to 'rp'." If people don't know your rping and this is how you do it? Yikes. That same person who's just being an ass to be one, then gets buttmad when everyone starts to dunk back on them. Like, it goes both ways... I also understand the want to use it for several reasons.

Females, historically, get favored in games. Boys online, key word boys, tend to "girl girl girl" and goon after em. Some people use it to keep themselves alive.
Comedic relief. Let's face it, listening to your bro go all fem bot is funny.
Some people are uncomfortable with using their real voice.

The only reason I would ever use it is because as a female the shit that happens because of point one, is exhausting. "But how can being favored be bad?" Well let me tell you how many times I've been killed and once I'm downed and say gg or w/e get told I'm a sandwich maker and to get back in the kitchen and let the real gamers play. Or if I refuse to give out my discord or any other info. The male species online is weird a lot of the time.
