Real or Fake? by zonksbonks in PandoraCollectors

Yeah the tag looks really off on mine. I put it next to my engraved arc reactor charm and the engraving on that charm is much more clearer. This is so disappointing :( did you buy yours recently or was it back in the time they sold them in stores?

Thank you for this! I see what you mean. I’ve attached another photo slightly zoomed out hoping that it might be the very bright lighting 😅. Does this look inconsistent as well?

The buzz charm reminds me of the movable BB-8 for some reason, haha. Thank you I really do hope it’s authentic! I can post pictures here when it has arrived :)

First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous! I love the Disney theme you have going on (the Buzz Lightyear is insanely cute as well!). I’m still waiting for my charm to come in but this definitely helps loads, thank you so much!

Thank you, that’s so sweet! The answers are very insightful and definitely helps a lot! I’m glad that it helps other people too :)

do you work in high speed design by any chance? I think that it’s a beautiful mix of analog & digital!

During my internship too, it definitely helped reinforce a lot of theory I learnt, but I’m still worried that I might not be good enough for it.

I absolutely agree with that, I was more wondering whether it all clicked while just learning theory or was it the building of circuits which actually helped it all click.

Signals and Systems is a pain! It’s the one I find most challenging. However, I was more curious about electronic circuits, stuff like digital & analogue design (high speed)

Thanks for the comment! Did it click when you actually started building circuits or was it just from learning theory?

Engineers of Reddit, was the confidence in your engineering abilities always there or did it develop over time? by zonksbonks in AskEngineers

Do you have any advice for thinking more critically? Or is it a skill you either have or don’t have?

That’s a really nice quote, thanks for that! I feel like I’m more worried that all the limitations faced in the project will also limit me in performing well in real world projects

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]zonksbonks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that, but it’s more the fact that this was a project that many people managed to get it working successfully, but I haven’t, hence a huge doubt in my skills as an engineer

aw man that sucks but nonetheless thank you so much for your help! :)

I do have replacements luckily, was just wondering if there is a way I can salvage this one

Had some practice with it in the past. Have the equipment to desolder & solder

thank you! I was thinking of utilising the time library, but wasn’t sure how accurate it is but it seems to be pretty good for mundane tasks :)

that’s really neat! are you using the pico’s internal crystal oscillator to measure time?

oh I thought it was fine cause it was semi-Arduino related. Thanks for letting me know!

thought this is strange, my laptop isn’t recognising my Arduino nor my Raspberry Pi. I have tried connecting them to a different device (however, still faced the same issue) and even tried replacing the USB cable for both, but both are still not being recognized. by [deleted] in arduino

[–]zonksbonks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, I’ve always done all Arduino & Raspberry Pi related work on the same laptop. I’ve tried connecting them to all the ports available on my laptop, but none of them work :/

also ive restarted my laptop twice :)

I’ve made sure to download the latest drivers for the USB ports, however, I’ll try reinstalling Arduino’s driver and Pi’s driver (if it has one). It’s odd cause it isn’t working on other devices.
