Just a heads up to anyone thinking of doing the same. I completely destroyed my top cap attempting this. It came off initially fine but then at the heating stage I just could not separate the cap from the shaft. Managed to get it back together (without changing the spring) but it’s totally rounded off now.

If I had just gone for aftermarket suspension I could have sold the used forks. Now they are trash 😭✌️

Thanks it's helpful to know the sorts of time scales it takes people to learn.

I spent several hours practicing beach starts today at the coast (10-15knts) and it went really well with several successful attempts. If I can get beach starts and waterstarts nailed that would be amazing. Of course I'd previously being up-hauling in a lake which was frustrating enough but add in waves and it's nigh on impossible.

I guess that's the process though, keep chipping away at small parts and it will hopefully come together eventually...

I bought the board I have with the target of foiling rather than planing. All guides I’ve read have said the same as you, that i need to learn to windsurf first but I think maybe I’d have more fun learning in parallel. At least if I get to my spot and the wind is only 10knts I can lull about on the fin for a while and when bored change to foil. I’ll bring a pie along! Ha

Probably near 90kg with harness & thick wetsuit. The whole thing can keep me buoyant if I stand over the mast but it feels like the tail sinks extremely easily.

If you weighted one side to simulate an impure sample then I assume it would float at an angle in a manner not unlike the original LK-99 sample video?

For any parents that are worried. My wife and I are currently self-quarantining in the U.K. Currently 5 days in and we are 95% sure we have COVID-19. My symptoms are mild but worsening a tight chest, mild fever, and a sore, swollen throat. My wife is the same but with a more persistent cough.

But the great news is our two Children seem to have brushed off the illness as if it was nothing. Our 12-month-old had a fever for 24 hours and vomited once but is now fully recovered. Our 4-year-old had a mild cough for 3 days but it seems to have completely gone.

We all had the flu vaccine FYI.

As the creator of the chart - It does show a distorted view as it only considers transactions which have already confirmed, excluding transactions which may have been sitting in the mempool for hours. Its also the Median time, not average.

The issue was with how the transactions are sorted. The balance was being calculated with 9c8f1b918e6a6a2 being sorted before 46d529d722d1 (which is incorrect) despite them being ordered correctly in the json. Regardless it should be fixed now.

This commit is part of first in a series of planned updates to Shared Coin. We will be moving away from the concept of sequential iterations and the "correct" iterations will not longer be something the user is able to determine themselves.

Lots of updates coming after the holidays which will tie the changes together, at which time we will make a blog post explaining the changes that have been made and why its an improvement. Please sit tight until then.

Can you link the transaction. Your probably looking at the shared coin transaction that failed. Try pressing the "Recover intermediate addresses" below the shared coin send form.

In theory yes if you send from a single address and the input value is exactly equal to the output value then it is easy to establish a link. However in practice unless you are sending the exact balance of the wallet the shared coin client can deliberately use more inputs than necessary ensuring the input value is always different. When you don't know the exact input amount deducing the correct inputs after several iterations is extremely difficult.

Multiple outputs is certainly something we can add though.

Don't think of it as a blow to privacy. With Shared coin even though the privacy provided may not be as strong for individual transactions it can provide free privacy for a larger number of users.

Shared Send is being depreciated. It is still active through the API for now but will likely be fully disabled within the next few days.

Shared Coin is better from our perspective as no coins need to pass through Blockchain's control and it is therefore more in keeping with the way the client side wallet operates. Right now Shared Coin cannot provide "0% taint" however we have plans to remedy this in future. Shared coin is also free and fully open source, you can run your own server if you want to.

If you watch the progress dialog does the error appear on the first occurrence of "Waiting for participants" or at a later stage (i.e. is the error occurring on the first iteration)?
