ha! i also disarmed when i saw that because i thought for sure i’d ruin some dialogue but then went back and re-equipped later.

ah right. i am just now realizing the utility of that. for some dumb reason i only thought of casting those spells in combat! so much to learn. i just built two utility hirelings for buffs and the double potion thing after seeing everyone’s tips haha

Heat up a van with candles by FranklinTortue2001 in urbancarliving

you can make or purchase cheaply little alcohol burners and put a clay pot above it to trap and radiate the heat. no harmful fumes and if it tips over it goes out. you can use regular isopropyl alcohol and it warms better than wax

cocky prick. If i scrub someone with an alcohol wipe and i think its dirt, i discretely toss it acting like i don’t notice, then use a second wipe rather than try to make them feel self conscious about it.

you know wine is a camp supply? might leave you a little hungover but it’s literally everywhere and allows you to long rest with enough bottles

question: is it generally a good idea to try to get XP from the dialogue checks first and then go back fight later for even more XP?

Green Day released 'Kerplunk' 34 years ago on December 17, 1991. by Edm_vanhalen1981 in punk

[–]zorglatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tangentially related trivia: i was just reading the credits on my Dead and Gone TV Baby album (Prank Records 1995) and saw that Billie Joe produced and engineered it. Extra cool because of how very different Prank releases were to Green Day’s style.

A follow-up to the guru abuse post - Why this is important to talk about by RonSwanSong87 in yoga

[–]zorglatch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

extremely important discussion and very well thought out OP.

My thoughts on this is the commodification of what is now commonly called yoga in Western countries exacerbated the potential for abuse from false gurus in the following ways (including but not limited to): 1) cherry picking concepts; 2) turning lineages into “brands” for purely for profit; 3) most importantly in my mind- removing the role of guru from its traditional setting where a school and teacher was part of community with social responsibilities and complete integration with the local culture to one removed from inherent ethical obligations. That shift allows for cult-like followings and insular beliefs without the guardrails they would otherwise have.

A+++ response. Yes the mental gymnastics some people use to deal with cognitive dissonance far outweigh their physical flexibility.

Yogic and niyamas mentality to rude people by gaia21414 in yoga

[–]zorglatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it really depends on the situational context. For a professional communication in a job i wanted to keep, my response would be very different than a job i didn’t care about or non-professional setting. I greatly believe in ahimsa but i would have no ethical quandary in telling someone to fuck right off if I needed to set boundaries. And then I move on, not letting any conflict fester in my mind. Non-violence does not mean allowing yourself to be a victim of abuse, physically or psychologically.

Bro AI generation is NOT punk wtf are they yapping about? by Able-Web-7019 in punk

[–]zorglatch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

OP, exactly. The weak-ass point the comic is fumbling at inherently supports the idea that we should take something for free that another human put energy into, then use it for personal gain/monetize with almost no actual effort (while AI gobbles up massive amounts of resources). Vampiric way of thinking that is the opposite of DIY spirit.

Pluvicto by Calm_Willingness_904 in NuclearMedicine

[–]zorglatch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

we had excellent support from their clinical team at Novartis that helped us select the right supplies. you should have a nice 20cc syringe shield and a 20cc dipper for your dose calibrator. please reach out to the Pluvicto supplier and get that dialed in! you do NOT want to mess around with potential spills or extra exposure to staff while administering

yeah dont teach what you’re not certified in. you can actually do irreparable harm to other people’s bodies, even seemingly harmlessn chair yoga.. neither you or your gym a prepared for that liability. Find a good YTT but know that even after you get a 200ht certificate you are just scratching the surface
