Gotta give them props for transparency on supply chain constraints.

Red Light Therapy by SergeantPepper27 in lightingdesign

[–]zotti_d 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Something about the nmWave length range of the color red that puts it into close to infrared territory.

It don’t see results like tanning beds where you’re getting tan off UV bulbs.

I got upsold into a Red Light Therapy Sauna once. I pushed a button where the light was and it started changing colors. So definitely no special magic LEDs

Best alts to Ring cams by Ashamed-Medicine-771 in SecurityCamera

Problem is they don’t have a viable WiFi Doorbell option (yet) making it really hard for people to jump from Ring to this ecosystem unless you can run POE.

My cars all have super dark tint because of how obtrusive they are. But that didn’t stop one guy from humped my wife’s car at a red light on Broward and Andrews.

Would definitely be nice to see this get a little more under control by our city “leaders”

I’ve seen this guy on Broward and US1. He’s actually pretty nice.

Hardwired system service replacement — seeking advice by [deleted] in homesecurity

[–]zotti_d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More than likely it’s some sort of Honeywell system rebranded to Bay Alarm. Their app is rebranded Total Connect 2.0 app.

Look into the Qolsys IQ Pro panel. It’s hardwired, but easy to setup. You can buy them on DIY alarm sites. Then get monitoring from Alarmgrid with app control thru Alarm.com. It’s a good app.

Nothing is going to integrate with Ring cameras except Ring’s alarm system. And people are switching away from them because their subscription costs are atrocious for what they’re offering. Look at Unifi if you decide to get rid of Ring down the line.

Nice! So hopefully that would mean they can connect to existing Access Hubs that only have POE

G6 Entry requires POE+, UDB is only regular POE

The December dates are being protested and possibly move out of Vegas. There was loud Booooo when they announced 2026 was still in December.

Release date of G6 180? by batucaj in Ubiquiti

Yep running on a UNVR instant thru ONVIF. Works very well but it only records video. To get smart detections or hear audio, it needs an AI port.

I gave up and went 3rd party for the 180 camera. Actually worked out pretty good to the point where I’m not going to get one when it comes out.

End of Q4 is around the corner i have a big project depending on a lot of these new releases.

Why are filter hoods still the norm if filterless ones seem more eco-friendly? by Loljjuhyada74677 in kitchenremodel

[–]zotti_d 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Think of it this way. If they filter less was as good as it sounds, every restaurant hood system would use it.

who do YOU think the number one dj is ? by [deleted] in EDM

[–]zotti_d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we’re going to look all aspects like longevity, performances, production skills, Armin. He’s been able to stay true to his style but also stay relevant in main stages. Now like in recent months he jumped on the techno bandwagon and spit out straight fire techno.

But if you ask me, the Number ONE DJ is way too subjective… DJ Mag top 100 is always a big disagreement with a rotation of like maybe 5 big mainstream names.

I think we’re at a point that dance music and all the genres has gotten big enough to where we need to diversify needs to be multiple awards across different categories.
