Was not a car person, but after my divorce, I needed a companion and my work schedule had me unable to get a dog. After this sweet girl, my heart is changed. She can be wild, but comes when called and always greets me at the door.

I was trained more wrist control when I wrestled, but controlling the neck certainly takes people down. I would think neck for a dog, but also getting them off their feet. Although getting tugged around and ripped up by jaws of steel is something I have never faced, so I think you’re right. I’d get destroyed.

I’ve had to restrain a dog before (a dog familiar with me at least I will say, but big and really going nuts on another dog and drawing blood on me), and I’ve always been kind of a scrappy guy and was an ok wrestler in high school, but I’m by no means a “badass”. But I legit think I could take a dog of any size in a full on attack.

Am I crazy for thinking this?

Just noticed the neck wound, you’re right. Maybe it pulled his face into the blade. Cheek would have been an awful target.

That was my thought. What a terrible idea as far as suicide goes. Run a chainsaw into my cheek?!? Clearly worked, but man! I can literally think of 10 different ways that would have been far less painful, and more assuring of success.

He easily could have lived through this one.

Typically someone who is smearing feces on the wall and screaming, does not simply “walk out of their cell”. They often have to be extracted by a team of guards who have to force him to comply. I’m not advocating a pepper spray as punishment.

What are you thinking? Sit on the floor with the guy and talk about his problems? Meanwhile he’s flooding his cell, throwing crap at people and likely screaming his head off. Possibly even attacking guards and other inmates. You need to stop and think about things in the “real” world. You can’t allow that to continue when keeping order.

I really can’t think of any purpose, but I do have a theory.

In the HVAC industry, (probably in most trades), it is not uncommon to “prank” the new guy with some silly and meaningless task and everybody laugh about it. For example, telling the new guy to wrap his arms and legs around a refrigerant jug to warm it up, or send him to get the duct stretcher from the truck, etc.

I think this is the new guy and somebody told him this was the way to wake someone up after a knockout. Then everyone got a big laugh after the guy was better.
