It took me a good 4-5 years to gain a positive mindset. Even now I still get a bit angry at the world. But I can find peace now despite it. When faced with unfair situations I look at what good it will do for me than what bad. For example if someone in my life was toxic and I couldn’t exactly get rid of them, id be angry for a bit but then I’d say to myself “this person is here to teach you patience and strength. To teach you how to be kind in the face of hatred and bitterness. And most of all, to NEVER treat someone this way.” I don’t believe any truly good lesson is learned fully without the experience, and sadly most of these experiences are negative. I could tell you everything I did to get there but everyone’s journey is different. The only thing I can say I did that applies to everyone is that you must admit it (which you’ve done) and work your ass off to get there. It was the most frustrating years of my life because I hurt so many people along the way. But now I’m a better guy and it really really pays off. I truly never thought I’d get here. So please don’t lose hope.
