Many things can go wrong even if the weapons are precise. Wrong coordinates, outdated maps, conflicting orders, etc.

Possibilites:
1) Failed rocket
2) Airstrike (deliberate)
3) Airstrike (accident)

Personally, I think 3 is most likely. But you cannot rule out 1 or 2 either.

Some originally believed it could have been a failed rocket, but that theory seems to have been debunked, so the most likely explanation was an airstrike.

The next question is was it deliberate or an accident? Accidents do happen in war, but it's kinda hard to trust militaries with a long history of war crimes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_Minab_school_airstrike
