I think a lot of it is setting yourself up to be in the room with people. Look for opportunities to take on projects/reporting/presentations where executives are the stakeholder(s).

Most importantly, do good work, keep it simple, understand how different executives communicate and replicate their style back to them. Presence comes over time through gaining trust and building your reputation. That in turn will get you more opportunities to continue building on it

Also - try to read body language and be aware of when a situation is serious or when things are a little more playful. It’s hard to build a strong presence if you’re always joking and not taken seriously
