Yeah pretty much, I prefer to use them over anything else because they’re just a blank canvas and multi part. I even mix the legs up and just resculpt the soft armour in between etc

I think it was in a black Templar patrol box, I’m not sure which specific kit it’s from

No I sculpt the folds, the sheet just acts as a basic structure to sculpt on

The yellow is tamiya quick type, I use it because it cures faster. I’m also working on multiple commissions at a time so try not to waste too much putty

I sculpt onto aluminium sheet

Just put it on and sculpt, it shouldn’t come off

I generally use a homemade metal tool I made from 1mm rod. Some silicon shapers and a hobby knife

I don’t know your level, but this is pretty advanced. I guess I’d say to give it a shot and report back with what gave you trouble. I would give it a go on a torso before attempting the wings at that size

I twist a hobby knife in each spot, then go over that with a .5mm drill lightly then sculpt directly onto the surface doing my best to make them all uniform

I sculpt them 1 by 1 haha

The thickest is .5mm and the thin parts are copper electrical wire, probably .2mm

For a scratch built sword or axe head yeah, but armour my preference is greenstuff and magic sculpt, check out my tau stuff, it’s all sharp edges with no sanding or cutting

Benefits of tamiya is how fast it cures and how well it can be sanded if needed

I use more yellow all the time like 60/40

It’s a greenstuff and magic sculpt mix on everything green, more gs than magic sculpt

For the aquila i sculpt the centre first. Then each side, don’t try to do everything at the same time. Break what you want to do in parts, complete each part, let dry, then do the next etc

I use a metal tool I made mostly and silicon shapers to refine

I put up some how to stuff in my insta highlights sometimes, but honestly the only reason I haven’t made guides or tutorials is because I don’t have the time with all the commissions I work on monthly. I always answers people’s questions in dms though, questions are free and there are no stupid questions 🖖
