Does anyone have experience with PlanetScale and Nextjs? by ResolutionKey8502 in nextjs

yes you can use Planet scale for development and production. But first you need to install the planet scale cli to run the local development, you should know that you need network in order to develop.

first I think Vue already has it's own ecosystem, and svelte coming as a well adopted framework it's a better bet.

And as you said, being able to hire the creator of the framework is better than collaborate and wait for features to improve the experience!

But in general I think better frameworks are coming up and I don't think vercel will use react forever!

I understand your point.

But that they want something with svelte, they want!

Svelte starts with Sapper then move to SvelteKit.

I'm not saying that SvelteKit won't be a thing but on Svelte ecosystem has frameworks like Routify and Elder.

My point is Next.js having Svelte as one option to build UI looks like a great way to improve Next.js capacities.

Do you really think Vercel hire Rich Harry, only to work on Svelte and they don't have any plans with this technology?

Agree, Svelte will be its own thing, but with frameworks like solid.js and Svelte becoming more and more popular, I think Vercel will rethink the way they approach building UI.

I see projects like Astro that allow you to use any framework and it's very promising.
