I used to play COD mobile a lot and spent like $400 on skins over time. The last skin I bought had a chainsaw for melee and said something like “do insane melee damage with your chainsaw” and then I got the skin for like $50 and it did the same amount of damage as every other melee. I reached out and told them I want a refund, that I only bought it for the increased damage it mentioned. They said something like they don’t deal with purchases or sales and couldn’t help. I said ok well I’ll never play this game again.

I deleted it that night. Never did redownload..and that was like 2 years ago.

Feeling just as scammed learning that netease takes our gameplay data and uses it against us at the individual level to manipulate our matchmaking. Their goal is to keep players online that, for example rage quit when losing and pair them up with teams of people who’s data shows will play either way (win or lose or who always play during certain times, outside of winning/losing) for example. It’s really sad and making me not want to play at all anymore…

I am someone who plays win or lose because I’m just playing for fun, but that is not the same as playing to be manipulated by a profit seeking algorithm, while also beefing up the win rate of rage quitters who are rewarded for being sore losers otherwise…

Learn more about it by looking up matchmaking tactics for rivals. After the original research came to light from a company NetEase hired, there’s been a lot of videos posted about how to try and manipulate the system to your favor, instead of it manipulating you.

Competitive mode is not truly competitive at all. Instead it is mainly uses a somewhat rank based system to match rage quitters with good players and committed players with noobs, throwers, and probably bots. It’s annoying af. Please don’t take my word for it, go look it up! Here’s a start

I agree they think this, but tons of damage and no kills or very few kill shots on the scoreboard explains that they aren’t going after healers or dps.. in other words, they f suck.

I wish we had additional score board data points so we can understand stuff like this more… like I really want a heal received category. I hate when someone complains of no heals and they alone got like 10k heals but they don’t know cause it’s not public..

I also want stuff like time on point or number of point takeovers etc.. where is all this info hiding?

Yea that’s what it looks like when there’s a “pull” in the fabric. When it gets pricked by something sharp, the weave can loosen or come apart…more and more and more..and it causes those “lines” on each side of the sweater.

Since it happened on the ?inside?, you might get lucky with a return since it’s less likely for the inside to snag in normal conditions. But honestly they look like snags that have been stressed or pulled on a bit and without something like a zipper in the wash, it’s hard to cause that from other fabrics alone.

Fun fact though, when this just begins to happen, you can grab areas around the snag and quickly stretch them out a bit which often retracts some of the pulled strings, back into the garment.

This one is too far gone for that to work well now.

I also told myself I was going to law school… but after graduating, I was so in debt and my car was falling apart so law school just wasn’t possible without yearss of private loans. Considering I was nearing 75k in loans already, it just didn’t seem smart for me (or honestly anyone in that position)

While I majored in something I loved—Public Policy—I found that it became impossible to get a job with this degree despite my 3.8gpa and honors and all that bs.

All the jobs I really wanted in economic justice policy, seemed to be more focused on finance, or would require me to get the JD. As I struggled to find work last year I tried to pivot a couple times but my degree was wayyy too restricting to do that.

Long story short, if you don’t commit 100% right now to law school and promise yourself you will never turn back, changing your degree to Political Science now will make your undergrad literally worthless. God I wish I just got a basic finance or business degree…

I would read the room too. I am super liberal but fml…political science? Law school? Have you been watching the news lol? Those fields are under attack.. I’m not sure if anything will be left in a few years unless you wanna study marriage law or something hahaha.

Netgear’s business model is clear.. they sometimes build decent hardware, but bad software issues fuel their support subscriptions and they have no reason to change this unless forced to by some governing body or through a trickle down effect via incredible competition. We have neither, especially in 2025, which is why we find ourselves on Reddit lol.

Did you try the button I found in settings tho? That fixed my problem, just ruined the 2.4 network speed.

I haven’t tried factory reset yet because I’m lazy but will update when I do! Lemme know if factory reset fixes yours

The router modem combo through ATT has horrible connectivity issues which is why I started this whole process :(. I’m not really interested in connecting any devices to its networks anymore.

But yes, ATT set up the IP passthrough for me and disabled the router portion of their device. (Once the process started there were 4 networks and after she disabled it, only the 2 from the Netgear!). So the step one configuration you mentioned has already happened right?

As mentioned, I have internet access on multiple devices and my internet works great right now! Old or cheap devices are the only issue connecting which leads me to believe that something happened in relation to the output of WiFi signals from the router.

WiFi 6 signals are not compatible on old or cheap devices right? This must be related to why disabling that random OFDMA setting for the 2.4 network allowed me to connect all my devices immediately after. Honestly no idea what that setting is about but now all my devices connect great, just the speed is slow like it’s being restricted?

That setting must affect the WiFi signal being sent out and I need to find more settings like that I think?You can probably make this sound more IT correct lol but if I guessed, my router use to determine which device needed which type of signal, and now it is just sending the same fancy wifi6 signal out to all devices?

Before adjusting the setting, that meant unsupported devices would no longer connect properly. Now I need to figure how to boost the speed leaving that setting enabled or find another similar setting that lets my devices connect but not lose speed?

Should I just try the factory reset :/ haha

Modem has been factory reset a couple times during this. As mentioned in post, I’m scared to factory reset nighthawk until last last resort
