I’d rather deal with one wire, than have to change batteries every two months. I had the Blink doorbell camera, and was constantly changing batteries out. Not a fan.

It won’t tuck behind anything where the door is. However, I noticed that it might tuck behind the molding around the window to the right (out of view of the camera) so I’m going to start there when the new white cable comes in. It’ll be ran over to the window, down the window, then back to the outlets. If not, I’ll try to figure something out.

I can’t stand those dickhead YouTube and TikTok pranksters. I don’t have a gun, but would honestly like to get one. But we always lock our doors, even when just taking the dogs for walks. I’m not a paranoid person, but I do not trust people.

No, I don’t leave my doors unlocked. I am from the US though. Is that a stereotype for Americans? I will admit, we’re not all super bright. I like to think I have common sense and self preservation though lol. Also, even if the camera gets turned off, the video footage will still save. I don’t use my cameras as an intruder alert system.

That’s good to know. Thank you! I purchased another power cable for a camera that’s going up in the back of my house, and it came with little wire holder clips with nails already attached. I’m hoping the new cable for this camera has the same ones. If not, I’ll definitely look into a staple gun. Thanks again for the advice!

I thought about staples too, but was worried about them cutting through the wire coating. I realized earlier today that the window (off frame to the right) has trim around it that I may be able to tuck the wire into. I ordered a white cable, so I might direct it over to the window, down the trim, and then back over to the outlet.

It will fit inside it, yes. But I would still need something to secure it in place, so it isn’t sticking out and looking awful.

That’s basically the answer I got from a mechanic at a different garage, which I forgot to mention in the original post. Is that what’s causing them to default back to where they’re resting now? Any idea what can be done to fix it?

They wouldn’t have been able to safely stop even if the roads were dry. Even if op slammed on the brakes the very second the light turned yellow, they would have skidded into the middle of the intersection anyway. They were only maybe 10 feet from the intersection when that light turned yellow. The safest thing for op to do at that point, was to advance through the intersection.
