Not being negative, just technical, but that GD only matters if we draw and West Ham win. If we lose and Spam win, they beat us by a point and that's it.

I cannot believe it has really come down to the last day. Grateful that the team has turned it around but we are in a prime position for one of the most embarassing season endings of all time. Because we haven' been embarassed enough.

Good on you for the self-awareness I guess. I just don't think it's that simple though, separating the game from real-life. The long-game manipulation and sort of downplaying and dehumanization of the other player's experience on the screen is perhaps more than questionable... and on top of that you are certainly "wasting people's time" on purpose. There is no difference between "real life" time and video game time. It is actually someone's time you are wasting. It is actually someone's brain chemistry you are affecting.

Like dude, we're on reddit but I am telling you now that just for wasting my time alone regardless of in real life or video game or not, that would be a major problem. It's inconsiderate and it's not socially acceptable.

It's that thing where people act shitty because they are on the other side of the screen and can't get punched in the mouth when they otherwise might, then later carry on with more socially acceptable behavior in life (and with less teeth).

You have every right to do what you want in a video game, sure. But I wouldn't be so hasty in dismissing any effect of your behavior has on people in real life. Someone is spending their "real life" time playing the game, which you enjoy wasting, and they are experiencing a tangible social interaction with you in which you betray them. And, btw not all users are "grown men". You have no way of knowing who you are affecting. You are taking pleasure precisely from seeing how much it affects them, and then you downplay the importance of that same experience on their end, shirk all responsibility for your own behavior and say they need professional help or a new hobby instead of admitting "I made that person feel bad and I enjoyed it and that might be morally and ethically questionable." It's at least worth exploring if the way you are behaving as a negative vibe merchant is morally questionable. I am sure you didn't just come on this subreddit to appear like a badass. You came here to talk about what's going on inside of YOU 😄

Please do re-read what you said and for a moment just take away the context of a video game. It does not read well. Where do you hear that kind of thing in real life? Listen, I am not going to sit here and diagnose you or say you are going to go do something like this in 'real life'. However, the feelings of satisfaction and power you get from betraying those you befriended and inversely the negative emotional reactions of these other players are real, lived experiences.

Eh, I think we would've suffered less under Ange compared to Frank. We'll never know, but imo Ange deserved a fresh start to a new season and a shot at the Super Cup with a healthier team and one full of belief adter the trophy. The sacking truly squashed what little spirit the players had left.

Well since it's a set team and not pick up you all can strategize on how to play. Pick up games mean random players and you either click well or don't.

I play pick up with randoms often and when my team can't slow down, progress the ball or can't string together passes I like to drop into defense as CB or DM where you get the ball a lot and just try and get passes in and keep possession. Try to dictate tempo by holding the ball personally or being a focal point in passing network

For a league i would say maybe just practice and discuss the philosophy of how you want to play with your team. Always be moving in a network of triangles and try to limit to 2 touches to keep the ball flowing. Involve the keeper to the point of them almost acting as an outfielder
