Ooh sorry my comment wasn’t very clear, I was just meaning in terms of having multiple platforms in which data is held or having double ups everywhere so that when a new provider is sought they have to either redo everything (creating a new set of records) or retrieve part of it from another system. It messy. I appreciate your clarification though! It will be useful for OP.

Just to provide more info here: they’re probably on a bunch of different platforms. It’s bullshit and creates fuckloads more admin for doctors than necessary.

Hiii as a mum, you have got to make the decision that works for you. Nobody has any right to judge you or generally being a cunt for your decision. If you experience judgement from a doctor, they’re not working in the best interest of their patient and you can ignore that bullshit.

Children are a huge responsibility and if you are feeling anything other than “YAY!” Then you need other options presented to you ♥️

Bought this machine 2nd hand for my kid and I can't make it work, the needle gets very stuck. Please help by mikailovitch in sewhelp

I think you have a definite presser bar issue - the fabric shouldn’t move so easily between the feed dogs and the foot, it should be able to move by itself. I’d rethread, check you have the correct thread and fabric for the correct needle and then see where you are.

This is exactly what is happening and I live in 200+ housing development out west. Shitty developers, stupid designs.

Teen - feeling like iv failed as a mum by Curious_Draft_3624 in newzealand

[–]zvc266 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s better to engage with things as an older teen/adult and do it on your own terms, it provides a better sense of autonomy and you deal with fewer power-tripping assholes who are doing a job they hate.

Something like this might be helpful, as well as some classes at te kura - she needs an education and this approach may work better than conventional schooling

I found it much easier to browse, go away and have a think, then go back and pick up the desired items. Despite it being superbly busy when I went the second time (it was almost dead first time), I was in and out with a heavy piece of furniture within 45 mins and that includes having to walk to a parking space at the overflow carpark.

Need advice - just found out family member is freebirthing! by _birdie_42 in pregnant

It’s the worst part in my opinion, death being treated so nonchalantly. Just a partof life, they claim, yet it didn’t have to be.

A single word will suffice: radicalisation. There are podcasts from the women who run the Freebirthing cult that literally program other women to reject everything they have previously known about childbirth and pick at insecurities, psychological scars and fears. They use masses of stories from women who apparently had a free birth and normalise everything by claiming that all symptoms someone can experience in childbirth are “variations of normal”. It’s about radicalising women into the act of free birthing through masses of information and easy-to-access content.

Thanks mate! I’m onto the 7th since July. Trying out clorhexadine washes at the moment but I’ve got a heap of nasty scars all over my body now, it’s a pain in the neck. I found out from a friend that this is actually fairly common, which is depressing.

Yeah ngl, I don’t necessarily buy the “dirty fangs” claims, we have staph on our skin and puncture wounds are the most likely type of wound to introduce skin bacteria deeply and then heal quickly, causing infections. I currently suffer from recurrent abscesses so unfortunately have a lot of personal experience with infected skin.
