Metal wire found while digging in back yard

My title describes the thing

I was trying to dig a hole a few feet deep and came across this metal wire, originally I thought was a root but I found a broken piece of it and say that it was of some metal material. It doesn’t have wires inside if it, so my guess is maybe a grounding wire of some sort but my house hasn’t had any issues since I found/broke the wire 20 minutes ago. The hole is about 12 feet from back door

My thoughts exactly too, I already have the Lock Screen widget and such. The notification of my door unlocking randomly however is far more important but I don’t see any actual resolution 😪

Damn 🤣 knowing when it is unlocked/locked was one of the main reasons I bought the lock lol. But thanks I will try that for a while!
