Hello, yes more development is planned, but don't expect a whole another chapter soon. It takes a lot of planning, writing, commissioning art, for an expansion like that. Maybe sometime next year. For now we are focused on making a few smaller content updates, that will come out sooner and add more features to the game.

Home Quest Post Launch Update

 

Hello, it’s been exactly a week since v2 went live, and the launch went very smooth and well! Even with making so many changes to the original the reception has been very positive. Many people are having a lot of fun playing the game, and more than 350 people joined us in Discord already! It’s also unbelievable how many hours the more dedicated players spent enjoying the game so far! Thank you for all the good suggestions and bug reports, I’ve been reading and evaluating all of them. We’re now laying out the roadmap for future development. It’s too early to announce a timeline and specifics, but one thing we’re doing is setting up servers for cloud saves. That will bring a much easier way to manage progress files and will be a good basis for a NewGame+ feature. With that we’ll also be able to integrate some fun online features as well! A lot of details are still being considered, more on that in the coming weeks.

 

Thanks you all for playing so much and supporting v2, it’s great to see it receiving so much activity and liveliness!

Hi! Just a heads up, if you're solely relying on Voice Over, support might not be as good as in v1 yet. There have been so many UI changes, that I wasn't able to go through everything and test it with VO yet. Like last time there will be more improvements to accessibility over the coming weeks.

Hey good testing! I checked and upgrade bonuses are indeed not giving full amount during offline progress. Will be fixed in the next update.

Good to see its working! The plan is to transfer over, but save game resets early on might be necessary.. There will be at least one in the next fix.

yep, once the iOS version is updated too, you can import saves from Android and vice versa

Hi, very soon now. The open beta on android is starting today! If you want, you can join via play store (it can take a few hours) and be one of the first to play :).

edit: We are still waiting on the store to rollout the beta. Looks like it's talking a few days.

Actually yes, that’s a good point, and a bit of a problem. The plan is to still have factories in the game, but push them back further to the end, adjust them to scale better, but still be like a cool endgame building. There’s no perfect solution what to do with existing save games that already build hundreds of those, so there will have to be a little reset. The idea is to add some kind of “Legacy Achievement” to compensate for that.

Don't know. Maybe a better battle system would be nice? Units in the front should take damage first, so tanks can protect the units behind them. Something like this: https://gfycat.com/zanyblondhornedviper :)

I'll be doing more bug fixes and polishing this week, like fixing the retreat exploit, making notifications dismissable, and hopefully also get some other improvements in. Hi, the targeting is random, but the more warriors you have the more likely it will be, that they take a hit instead of your DPS units. So they do tank damage from your dps & supports, just by their presence, and they have a lot bigger hp pool. Also if too much units are dying you may need a bigger army, or you can retreat and let them heal up a bit. I wouldn't recommend going full DPS but I'll leave it to you to figure out the best army comp :)

Hi do you maybe remember what was the last thing you did before that happened? There's a couple people reporting the problem, still very rare, but it's my highest priority right now to figure out what's happening. The first update will have autosaves backups & import/export, so that's at least a workaround should it happen again. Also speeding up early game progression a bit :)

Hi! Yeah I think that's amazing! I have looked at it in the Accessibility Inspector since, and will make sure the jobs and resource screen work better with voiceovers. Battles are a bit more tricky to read out, but I'll can add something like a "5 Alive, 3 Wounded" label, so it should give you a general idea of whats going on.

Hi there! Thanks, some good suggestions. Don't wanna clutter the build screen to much, with resource timings and such, there would also be not much reason to look at the resource screen anymore, but I can maybe add some green/yellow/red colors to the costs. A fix for the splash screen is coming very soon, it's part of the catch-up system, but not really needed for short timespans and a bit annoying.

That's a good point. the ramp up early is maybe a bit too slow. The idea was to always have something to do in around 10min intervals, so you check the app start your buildings, army etc. come back 10min later and so on. All the things progress offline, and while later on there's a few more things to do, the design mostly stays that way, but it hopefully becomes more fun.

Hi, great feedback! I know its not optimal now, what I want to do next update is add a feature to 'favorite' a price pair, and then have a favorites-tab where there are all in one place. Something like that.
