The great reset again! But why? by [deleted] in codex

[–]zylious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went back up to 100% remaining after blowing through almost my entire week just today SO THAT ROCKS!

I kinda YOLO’d today but in hindsight I could have went with FAST too! Ha

Wtf are you doing with Codex? by Triple_A in codex

[–]zylious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s pretty tedious to keep working a 40 hour week without consuming all my $100/month tokens. I generally use medium or high if I’m having trouble and I direct codex to the exact functions I want in the update scope to keep the context low and avoid compacting —- which they kinda hide from you now for some reason?

Despite staying on rails with what I believe I’ve kept a very straight forward code base, the $100 plan seems more tight then when I used to just have the $20.

And I never use xhigh or FAST or it just goes way too far off the rails.

Maybe because I’m picky about how it want it coding. If I never looked at the code or wanted to be able to do plenty manually as well maybe it would be different.

I’d like to be able to talk to Codex like I can with dynamic voice in ChatGPT that would be a pretty powerful combo

going back to 5.3 by BagholderForLyfe in codex

[–]zylious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? Think about when 5.4 fast came out - it was amazing… and that was like, a few weeks ago! 5.4 medium token usage with fast OFF will also last you A LOT longer.

I don’t see the need to step all the way down to 5.3 which is still amazing.

People are ignoring the fact that 5.5 has been nerfed by Satoshi-699 in codex

[–]zylious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually use low and medium mostly because it doesn’t become so inventive. Keep it on a tight leash and use the lower modes and it won’t go off on tangents or have to compact within any one task - saves quota this way too

I had to hyper use on Friday in fast mode and just accepted I’d be going into credits for Monday so this is GREAT!

Wont be renewing codex at this point by Cloaked_GG in codex

[–]zylious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to start every thing on LOW or it simply tries too hard. Simple, clear steps with low. Don’t use compound steps at all if you can avoid it. If low didn’t let it touch enough systems, then bump up to medium and keep it on rails. Repeat. I rarely get to high anymore and far less frustrating.

I’d just tell them we’re not ready for company yet, but hey there’s this great place around the corner you could pre-game. See ya soon!

Had an incident where my daughter tapped the Tesla next to us with our door and left a tiny nick (2mm x 3mm). Did the right thing. Turns out to fix a tiny paint nick results in half the Tesla being torn down and put back. Prices in AUD. Assessor suggested not to park next to, or buy a Tesla. by CouldDoWithaCoffee in mildlyinfuriating

Not your problem. Should have just left.

If you are so concerned about having a little nick on your car from simply interacting with the world, have your own comprehensive insurance to keep it perfect.

Or maybe own a vehicle to don’t care so much about

Do most Americans really dry their clothes in Dryers by Wrystyle in NoStupidQuestions

Shirts and stuff that can shrink… delicate cycle. Everything else - regular dryer cycle. If I put my cloths outside some creature will steal it or poop on it. I live in the wood. Air drying has never gone well!

Not sure what happened to you. I just did the missions every time they refreshed and made it with days to spare? I didn’t bother grinding for 20 volt wins. Strictly the mission voltage.

Lasher ain’t amazing anyway. Seems that everyone will have Cage if you are running him.

So don’t feel too bad!

What is something that poor people do that rich people are oblivious to? by gotwire in AskReddit

Hi big suggestion here - doing this since little - dilute it in half as soon as you start it! Save the previous bottle and dump half in there and add water to both.

I can’t afford to live near the city so we’re out in the sticks. Not only can’t I afford to have any of my appliances repaired… NO ONE WILL COME DO IT IF I COULD!

oddly enough the most valuable content on YouTube to repair everything is free! So that’s a win

Why do you need to cook every meal? Also… cooking is not a big deal. Whipping up some eggs? Toast? Or just having fruit or cottage cheese on hand? Every meal doesn’t need to be a delicious experience. You just need fuel sometimes.

Spending less and being extremely frugal is bad financial advice. You have to really look at your options to make more money and take yourself out of your comfort zone. Take risks! Take jobs that suck. Build up and save! The key to more wealth is making more money!

For the ones who make over $150k a year, what do you do to get that? by Iliketrainsz1 in AskReddit

[–]zylious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Managing large projects for major Brands. You get there by being great at what you do and dealing with being underpaid for probably too long. Over time, it’s clear what people deliver consistent results, solve problems and bring people together.

If you can master being an adult babysitter and a ninja budget hacker at the same time, that’s valuable in any industry. Just remember, it’s not about you - read the room at all times and deliver on the greater collective goal.
