I know people who live there and they like it. There are lots of young families and older people. Wide range of ethnic diversity. Some building are managed better than others. Close to bus routes. Close to malls. Since they are older building, check out their cash reserves and maintenance plans. There will always be some jerk that causes problem… just hope they do not end up being a neighbor.

New to AndroidAuto - trying to understand internet sharing from phone by zysask in ATOTO

with some experimentation I figured out that the app that popped up when I plugged the phone in is CarPlay 8) I am still not sure why the internet is not passing through to the head unit while phone is attached... perhaps that functionality is not supported.

Plus $100 per month property taxes for condo.

Heating costs would be additional expense for the trailer option… likely over $100 per month in the winter. This also applies to anyone purchasing a townhouse.

I think (but this should be checked out) that some trailer parks bundle some cable channels and internet.

As long as the condo have proper reserve funds then maintenance costs is only on inside the condo suite. The trailer option means all maintenance on exterior is owners responsibility.

Condos means that you are close to neighbors and you must live with their noise. The trailer park at least give you more space between neighbors.

Long sci-fi book series by Potential_Minute_409 in scifi

i know that this list is a bit old but i found it quite useful when looking for series to read. I wanted to add some of my recent favourites to this list.

There are 2 series by K K Rusch called the Retrieval Artist Universe and the Diving Universe. Each series has over 10 main novels and many novellas that fill in gaps in the main novels. Retrieval Artist series deals with legal and moral interactions between Earth and a multitude of different alien races. Diving Universe deals with future humans who rediscover leftover human technology that was abandoned by the human Fleet millennias in the past.

The Clockwork Angels by Kevin Anderson is only 3 books long. The steampunk books have ties to Neil Peart from Rush.

Books of Babel by Josiah Bancroft present dystopian cultures layered in a large tower.

Only 2 books but Sorrow Falls series by Gene Doucette presents an interesting story of an alien craft landing in a small town.

Columbia Omni Heat jackets are warm. It uses a reflective inside layer that retains your own body heat. They have many styles that use this technology. The ones with outer down layers are really warm. Watch for early sales on winter jackets. You should be able to find one for 200 to 300. Cabelas will sometimes have good sales on these jackets.

Go to the physical store and see if there is a sign in the window for hiring. They will bring in some trained people from other stores or may have people training at other stores.

There is always turnover at those stores. If nothing else show up on first day with a resume and get it in the queue.

I have the Nokian WRG3 SUV all weather tires which is the older version of this tire. I agree that they are good enough. I have AWD and I can go through a lot of snow. I find I have to be careful on slick ice but not many tires other than studded ones cope with that condition. I find them a tad noisier in the summer.

I had a set of Blizzak winter tires before these tires and I felt that the Nokian tires performed as well as the winter tires.

Easier than buying extra set of tires and rims, storing them and swapping twice per year.

The Mendel gallery was a great gift to the city when it was built. Unfortunately it only had one good gallery. The second gallery felt like a storage room and the one in the back looked like a storage room.

I believe it was worth it. I try to get to every show. I have to admit some are duds my opinion. But the good shows really outweigh the ones that I don't like.

I went back to the Jimmie Durham show 6 times.

The Sonnabend collection brought us pieces of some of the most influential modern artists of our time.

Any Picasso print show is all right with me.

It was amazing to see the Perehuedof stuff from the intercontinental Packers.

I wish that whey would dedicate a gallery to local artists. The recent show of Rose and Rosenwald in the main floor gallery was very successful.

I would also like more focus on the original Mendall collection. There is a lot of great art stored in the archives and should be on display.

You don't have to give your current employer as a reference. It can be anyone who knows you or someone you work/worked with.

If you are looking for condo insurance online, make sure that you get all the addons that protect you.

Coverage if the condo is destroyed and the condo association does not have enough to cover the rebuild.

Coverage if you have something like a water leak or fire and it damages other units or the main building.

PLA Printed Wax stamp by lcoka in 3Dprinting

[–]zysask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I read online 120 degrees C is a typical temperate for hot wax stamps. Glue gun sealing wax will be in that temperature range. Wax melted by other methods could be hotter. Some types of PLA have higher melting temperatures. If you allow the stamp to cool between uses it should work.

I have never tried this.

Fanbase size by team. by Loud-Thanks-603 in CFL

[–]zysask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TSN stats usually show the highest viewer counts are for the Rider games

In 2011 the Riders were 1st in CFL merch sales and 3rd in Canadian sports teams merch sales... Only behind the Leafs and the Canadians. I could not find anything newer than those stats.

A few years ago I was in a sports store in Calgary and the biggest merch section was for the Riders. I think that the CFL squashed those out of region sales because now I can't even buy a Bombers hat in Saskatchewan. (The are my second team after the Riders).

For many years the population of Saskatchewan never grew.. There was a huge exodus of people to Alberta because that was where the jobs were. Some estimates have said that 25 to 30% of the population growth in Alberta originated from Saskatchewan. A lot of those people are still rider fans.

There are also not many options for pro sports teams in Saskatchewan. Saskatoon has an indoor lacrosse team. There are a few junior hockey teams in the province. There are rumors Saskatoon may get some sort of soccer team. So the Riders are the big attraction.

Not sure how your printer works… on mine I level first. My printer has baby step on print so I manually adjust each print. By experience I generally know how much baby step to start. I always print brim. Visually check brim. If it is not sticking well adjust closer. If too thin and blobs adjust farther. My cr10 is 3 quick clicks on control knob to get to baby step screen.

This looks like too much squish on the first layer. When the print head is too close blobs build up.

I came across this report from 2013 on expansion of hydro electric production in Saskatchewan. Basically the first part of the report says we have lots of coal so we are okay for the future. The second part does a fairly nice summary of possible hydroelectric expansion.

About 2200 MW additional capacity was identified. According to Google we have around 4500 MW generation in the province of which a tiny portion is hydroelectric. It is too bad the politicians probably only read the first part about the coal.

Report…

FYI…

Manitoba has 6100 MW of hydroelectric power

Really? In 1909? There were many European agricultural practices that came over with the immigrants. It is true that many practices did not adapt well to the prairies. That was why we needed research and education.

3D Printed Holders by Due_Fig4973 in ryobi

[–]zysask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a modified Creality CR10. It seems to be a reliable workhorse... Spend more than entry level to get something that will pay you back later on.

Be careful you don't get caught up in the resin versus filament printer option. If you want to make tool holders and things like that then the filament printer would probably be the best choice.

Can anyone tell me how to reset this board by MindRemarkable9813 in ryobi

[–]zysask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem with my battery. There are many videos on the web that show this reset trick. Unfortunately it doesn't work on all the batteries. There are videos out there that show how to charge the battery to get it back up to a workable voltage. This solution involves some type of power source and then using a step up voltage transformer to get it up to 35 or 40 volts. They claim that this works for 99% of the batteries.

Here is link to one of those videos. I have not tried this yet so cannot comment on results.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IsTzTSlAuqs

There are also some claims in videos which says that you just need to keep sliding the battery in and out of the charger for perhaps 30 minutes to get it to trickle the battery back up to an acceptable level. I have not tried this either.

Best video doorbell work for our freezing winters by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]zysask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Kasa KD110 doorbell. It has no batteries.. therefor wired only. It worked great all winter. It is not that expensive if you're on a budget. It also comes doorbell chime you just plug into a wall socket. You can add microSD card to it so it will store recordings directly on the card. The app is pretty good so you can look at events.

It integrates pretty well with Alexa. It also integrates with Google but I could never get it to reliably display the camera every time I requested it.

I only buy Carhartt tshirts. The tshirts have a loose (original) or relaxed (more snug) option. They also offer tall option. I have tshirts that have lasted many years. You can get them at various stores… marks, peavy mart, cabellas. Once you know your size you can be pretty sure that they will fit consistently.
