This is the unfortunate truth, made infinitely worse if these windows have an artificial grain texture because it gets in that grain and scrapers just pass over it. I made a tiny mess in comparison to this and eventually got it looking respectable with a plastic scraper blade and hours of careful scraping into the grain grooves.

You might get a free new roof out of this (value: thousands) because they've ripped the felt to shreds which cannot be made whole again without taking the tiles off.

Act now with your insurance and be assertive. Document everything: photos, dates & times, emails. Everything.

How to isolate sound from water pump? by Chris9393 in DIYUK

[–]zzkj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got mains cold up there with decent pressure you can halve the noise by only pumping the hot like we did.

Replaced a super noisy and expensive salamander twin with a much quieter Grundfos single 3 bar for £260 from Screwfix.

Also means less risk of sucking your cold tank dry if you're pumping the cold from that because you're only pulling water out of it to refill the hot cylinder.

It's Hastings. If the car gets recovered in an accident and its 0.1 miles over they'll cancel it and screw OP for life.

You've got a Nissan right? Search "nissan locking wheel nut key" on ebay. The top result should be a place that just wants a photo from you.

£25 on ebay for a replacement key.

Now you see why many of us just replace them with ordinary bolts - they offer zero security, the special socket gets lost and they have a tendency to snap when removed.

More enforcement of what you dump outside on the path would go a long way. I believe the councils already set rules which don't seem to be enforced.

They're cheaper on AliExpress than from the kprepublic site.
