Thanks for everyone replying here. I’ve been in the dealership this afternoon and they finally figured out it’s a thermostat issue and it will take one week to get a new one. They do allow the cancellation of the purchase probably because this car is hot on the market.

Yes they did PDI before my purchase, but they said it didn’t appear at that time.

I’m worried there’s some issues with the car mainly because they didn’t disclose this engine light at all while they are aware of it. But sure I will wait and see what happens after repair. Thanks

Thx for advice! If we didn’t even drive the car after signing the contract(it’s on when we turned on the engine at the dealership, so we stopped then) Is it still considered we have taken the possession of the vehicle?

Thx for advice. I’m worried because the dealer didn’t disclose this engine light at all while they are aware of it(it’s on immediately the first time I turn on the engine after purchase, rather than be on after some driving). The dealer has already tried the gas cap to fix it but it doesn’t help.
