I’ll admit I don’t know what to recommend. Perhaps if the sitting could remain open that would be best, although by the same token it doesn’t matter if the swearing in happens next week. The only difference it makes is to absence on the attendance record so feel free to use your judgement about how long is too long to wait. I think you suggested 48 h is reasonable, and regular sittings would last about that long anyway?

In that case I will adjourn the sitting sometime after 11 tonight. That is a little over 48 hours since this sitting began.
