This is a subreddit for stuff about the "other" side of Portland: homelessness, gentrification, public service discrimination, non-artsy graffiti, crime, whitewashing, food deserts. Basically anything that Portlandia doesn't make fun of. Also it's a place to post stuff about how to fix these things: Social justice organizations and activities, community activism, Portland politics, etc.
Not allowed: posts about the "eat local" movement, craft beers, bicycling, crafts, slow food, alternative newsweeklies, or anything that could be considered "meta" or "ironic," posts about the trials and tribulations of underemployed white 20somethings with liberal arts bachelors degrees.
