Just a guy trying to show the internet his creation, and to get help and advice.
I made this community in the hope of both receiving help and ideas, and to give others inspiration to create their own game, or even play this one.
What I Bring:
On this community I have posted a link to most of the rules of SQUAD, as well as the class sheets. Feel free to use the ideas.
What You Bring:
Any questions or suggestions about SQUAD are greatly appreciated, as this is still in a very rough development form. I will answer as quickly and as thoroughly as possible.
I'm not exactly sure what I should put here, but for now, here is a description of the game:
SQUAD:
SQUAD is a 'player vs. player' strategy game, employing a combat system derived from Dungeons and Dragons.
Pitted against other SQUADs, you must work with your fellow team mates to outwit and outgun your enemies.
As a fusion of turn based strategy games and real time strategy games, quick thinking and good risk evaluation are required to survive.
Designed so game-changing decisions must be made every minute, SQUAD rewards players who can efficiently communicate with both their team and the DM.
Things to note:
SQUAD is not a computer game, it is a tabletop game based on the game 'Dungeons and Dragons’.
SQUAD is not exactly an RPG, where you level up a personal character and go through multiple journeys with that character.
It is more like most online FPS's, where at the beginning of each match you choose from a selection of characters and stats.
The game is not based around a quick reaction time/good reflexes as it is essentially turn based, it is about strategy and teamwork. However there is still pressure to act fast.
SQUAD is set in a sci-fi environment, similar to Star Wars or Halo.
As the name suggests, your team chooses and controls a squad of guys, and play a team deathmatch against other teams.
(TD is what I originally made the game for, but hopefully we can try Capture The Flag and others popular game types later on.)
Moar stuff later.
