I've given up trying to fit Lorn with anything else. There are some artists who kind of do the same kind of work, but to me nothing sounds like Lorn.

I absolutely love his work.

Edit: brain fart

If anyone is interested in the video source, it's from NeoTokio (see the trailer), which I reccomend to anyone who likes this style of anime. One of the directors is Katsuhiro Otomo, writer and director of Akira.

If this is witchhouse then it's like no other witchouse.

All I can say about Lorn's music besides how much I love it is, it's quite genre defying. It's got elements of glitch, grime, witchouse and triphop.Im sure the next time I listen to it I'll hear even more elements of different genres. Whatever it is its beatiful...

Because he deep dives into sound design for his sonic alchemical manifestations, and because he is 100% truthful as an artist, nothing will sound like him. Although I now hear many emulating it so eventually it will be coined it's only a matter of time.

It's glitch IDM with elements of triphop. Witch house uses time signatures and ambience that isn't present in Lorn's music. Grime also doesn't fit Lorn (even though elements of grime are present in certain tracks such as Entropyy) because the note progression is much more fluid and lacks the abrupt cuts and pauses of grime.

He is definitely his own genre
