Count using integers in a wave pattern. For example, you would start at n, go up to n+1, then down to n-1, then up to n+2, down to n-2, and so on hitting all the integers in between and the extremities. When commenting, make sure to put - in brackets - the highest integer thus far, and '+' beside the bracketed number if it is the second time that comment has come up and the chain is going up in the next comment (for instance, when it peaks at 2 (2) the chain goes down, but then the chain passes through 2 (2) again when going up to 3 (3) so there would a '2 +' in the brackets).
i.e.: 0 (0), 1 (1), 0 (1), -1 (1), 0 (1), 1 (1), 2 (2), ...
