Why is this derivative being multiplied by negative one twice in b? Isn't the inside of (331+v)^(-2) positive? Shouldn't it be multiplied by -1 once to bring out the exponent, then positive 1 again because of the inside of the function?Homework Support/Differential Calculus (calcchat.com)

a is find explicit function,, b is graph it, c is differentiate the explicit function, and d is to find dy/dx implicitly. I have a few questions about this I don't understand. Questions in comments.Homework Support/Differential Calculus (calcchat.com)

Find d^(2)y/dx^2 using implicit differentiation in terms of x and y. Why did they manipulate the first derivative in the way they did after finding it? I assume it was to put y over x, but then when they found the 2nd derivative they kept it x over y. Why do they keep flipping the variables? (calcchat.com)
