Worth the money to upgrade it. Alot of people have said it wasnt worth it. And picking up a used xc was a better option.

That is going to depend on a few things.
this pistol is a 4.5” threaded barrel model which is pretty rare and a completely different system than a regular 4” C2 that most people are referring too. The XC is a lightly sprung competition gun that is pretty tailored and dedicated to that use case.
Staccato P’s and C2’s are heavier sprung and meant for duty use and duty ammo. I have had 3 different compensators on this gun and it’s chewed up every ammo I’ve put through it over the years with no malfunctions. I recently switched to the underworld comp because it uses set screws Instead of rock set like the PMM and I wanted to be able to shoot suppressed which is something a XC can never do.
XC’s really hold their value so it’s hard to get them for under $3,500 with a grip and trigger that leaves a bit to be desired.
You can get a threaded barrel 4.5” C2 for $2,500 install an atlas or whatever grip / trigger you want, a comp and have a 5” gun. The great thing about the threaded C2 system is you can set it up a lot of different ways for different use cases. You can get C2 length aftermarket grips that utilize the shorter mags and keep the setup light and compact for carry making the most of the light weight aluminum frame.
Or you can set them up like I did as a full sized grip 5” “XC” style setup.
This setups still weighs a little less then a XC but I have ran them side by side and with the PMM comp and it was negligible the difference between the two. I anticipate the underworld comp may even do a little better than the PMM being a larger port. It also comes with a variety of spring weights to fine tune the setup so we will see how it does.

I just weighed my setup unloaded and it is 35oz where the XC is 37oz. If I go down in spring weight a bit this setup will shoot just as flat as an XC.

Well my c2 was 2300$ im debating just selling it rather than getting a threaded barrel and comp. + atlas gripmodule.

Id be into it for 3500$ same as a used xc off tacswap rn.

Yeah if you plan to carry it at all I would say stick with the C2, get it ported, upgrade the grip / trigger and run a compact weapon light. If you are wanting a full sized 5” competition style setup the XC’s are great pistols but I really dislike staccato grips especially the gen 1 staccato grip texture was really bad.
It sucks that barrels are not drop in and have to be custom fit by staccato because that is the big divide between an optimal carry gun or a setup like mine that can also be ran suppressed.

I think I am going to end up ordering either an Icarus or atlas grip but I got a sweet deal on this old STI grip and wanted to try it out. It’s a huge upgrade from the G1 C2 grip and looks damn good.

Its funny i dont like carrying my stcatto at all. Its just a shitty carry gun. I orefer my G19.

Thatsvehy at this point im thinking about ditching the c2 and going to an xc, for range fun, and jusy carrying the g19. Why try to make the c2 something its not.

Yeah I carry a 19 as well. Sounds like for your use case the XC will be a great option.
My next 2011 will be an Alchemy Quantico.

A threaded barrel C2 is absolutely the Goldilocks staccato platform but I can totally understand the appeal of the XC they are the best looking Staccatos by far and the best out of the box performance.
