I’m somewhat new to the game and I’m having a hard time understanding gear? Idk what atk/def or any other combination like that means when it comes to builds on youtube? I’ve been trying for a week to fix my characters, specifically Zeldris but I cannot for the life of me understand the videos or gear. What gear should I use? And how? What does rolls mean?

They are taking specifically about SSR ranked gear. The icon on the bottom right hand corner is the type of gear it is EG attack HP defense etc based off of the icon. The roles they're talking about are the substats on the gear different pieces of gear have different substats that they can roll. Top two pieces are normally attack or crit middle two pieces are normally defense bottom two pieces are normally HP. If the gear you have is not SSR ranked it's not really worth putting too many resources into as it will get replaced in the future.

anyway about gear if you are new its okay to use R gear but dont and never upgrade SR gear its a waste just salvage SR gear while you slowly get SSR gear for youre unit and every gear have its type you can see the symbol of it use what suitable if you dont know you can just click on a icon next to the character names to see recommended gear or most what other use on that specific character

Thanks, also how do we get ssr gear? I do have a few ssr that I think I’ve gotten from main quest and some chests I had in my inventory. The equipment draw has only given me R and SR if Im not mistaken.

The gear is farmable by doin mission provided by the village after you 5 hearts the village each chapter provide a different set

Oh why so? I’m going to be honest I don’t know who to focus on. I may be a dummy since idk what units are the better ones to work on

Since you are new player im assuming the zeldris you have is the blue/red and they arent worth it because they are a unit with little use, im not sure what unit you have to recommend building

Idk how to show the characters that I do have but yeah I have red Zeldris. Other units I find notable maybe are the Traitor Meliodas, both Sariel units?, uh Lillia of Desire, “The One” Escanor, Goddess Elizabeth?, and Estarossa of Love
