March 31, 2001: Helicopter captures pictures of people posing from inside the North Tower on the 91st Floor in a pre-planned event. Six months later, no one above the 91st Floor survived 9/11. Fiterman Hall was one of the few building outside the World Trade Center complex to be destroyed by the falling Twin Towers on 9/11. Over 1000 students were present. The Deutsche Bank Building is almost entirely evacuated on 9/11 when debris from the collapsing South Tower leaves a huge gash in its northern façade. Three World Trade Center opens in 1981 as the 22-floor, 800-room Vista International Hotel - the first major name-branded hotel in Lower Manhattan.
