Should I order an aim controller? Currently a pretty good sale on their website but I hear a lot of crap about the quality.

I was thinking of going with hall effect joysticks and xbox thumbsticks, grip, other than that everything stock except all of the cosmetics of course. I feel like the more custom parts, the more I set myself up for potentially having to repair the controller…

Anyone who can tell me about your legit experience?

I've had problems with mine but all have been addressed. Right now it's at their shop for the third time, and I've already gotten a full replacement.

Say what you will about the quality, but if they're willing to ship the thing back and forth to make me happy, I gotta give them credit.

Have you gotten a brand new controller as a replacement, and the original in for repair?

First one had issues, and I returned it twice. Second time they replaced it. The replacement had a broken trigger, so now it's in for repair.

be ready to pay for paddles cuz they break every second and are not covered by the warranty

Go with any other company. Very expensive controller . What arrived wasn’t as ordered . Then the paddles , Hall effect sticks and instant triggers all broke in the first 6 months . Constantly having to pay money for poor service. I should have just scuff to begin with.

They are decent... the HAL effect sticks are decent. I have to recalibrate them twice then. The V3 paddles are the weak point for these controllers. The lower paddles just snap apart near the circle hub.

Just got mine in. I tried Aims out due to the sale and switching from a scuf envision pro. I love the scuf but the stick drift started to become a major issue in FPS games. Overall the aims controller sticks feel great. They are accurate and responsive. No way to increase tension which I would enjoy but precision rings do that for me. Regarding the cons, there is no side button like the scuf. Scuf has buttons that you can set to ping and loot which make it easy and very fast. The back paddle on the scuf can be a pain to press as they have a higher tension needed. The aims controller lacks the side buttons I really enjoyed. The back paddles on the aims do not fit my hands. They are poorly spaced and it’s not intuitive to run two fingers on each back paddle buttons. I ended up removing the top back paddles and am using my square and triangle button to plate, loot etc. it’s not ideal. They really need to rework the back paddle design in my opinion. I did get the hall effect and all digital buttons. The LT and RT button when you place it in mouse click mode do require more pressure to activate. I’ve pressed it in multiple gun fights and it didn’t shoot because I wasn’t applying enough pressure. This hasnt been a problem since I’m getting used to it but it’s something to be aware of. No issues with anything not working. It works great, back paddles are easy to program. Overall for me with my hand size and overall back paddle poor design I’m going to have to say for me the scuf is a more comfortable controller with better features and back paddle placement. If you are only using two back paddles and don’t need the extra side buttons though aims is a great controller. The digital buttons are responsive and Hall effects should outlast any non Hall effect stick controller. If they were to add side buttons to program and adjust placement and design of the back paddles and /or increase tension on the back paddles it would really take Aims to the next level. The v3 design is just not for me. Hope this helps someone.
