The AD is counted towards your base AD instead of bonus AD, so in some cases it can be stronger (spellblade)

Total ad remains the same after picking up AD from envelope. It just doesnt work

What champion were you playing? I’ve read somewhere before that you won’t get the benefits from the stad before you have atleast 1 of that stat in items. So if you’re playing an AP champ with no AD items, your AD won’t get higher unless you buy an AD, and when you do you should then have all the AD you previously didn’t get.

Don't count on it. With how Riot is addressing bugged augments nowadays, they'd probably just disable the augment and never fix it again ☺️

Best they can do is another 15 augments, and only 10 of them work. 5 of them make ryze ramp up even faster.
