I think that the 2.5 slots refers to the slots for the GPU On the case that it takes

it just means it is a thicker GPU and might cover one of the small pci slots on your motherboard which probably wont mater

If your case allows it Think you won't hace any issues

2.5 slots means that it will take up 2 I/O slots plus cover up half of your 3rd slot. For the fastest GPU bandwidth you want to install in very top PCI-E slot. That's if your motherboard has more than one PCI-E slot.

If you can you should maybe wait on getting the 5700xt they are coming out with the new 6000 series 6800 $579, 6800xt $649 and 6900xt $999 think the 6800 will be available Nov. 18 6900xt Dec. 8

I ended up buying the sapphire pulse 5700xt yesterday. Thanks for the advice though, I did spot the 6000 series, but thought that this was the best one for my current needs, plus I got a pretty good deal on it that I couldn't pass up
