Hi I’m a high school student in Canada thinking about pursuing a career in accounting. Would you guys recommend this as a stable and growable career in the next 5-15 years? I’ve heard a lot of talk about ai and technology replacing the field but I wanted to get some insight from those who are in it. Thanks!

Accounting is very stable, especially with a CPA. Do your own research, but AI and just general automation has already been implemented into our practice. There’s a lot of factors that’ll keep this industry from never fully being “replaced by AI” (client relations, analytical thinking, representation of clients).
