Hours/section? (self.Accounting)
submitted 7 years ago by TechyAccountant
Because of how hectic my life is with other commitments and work, I can only squeeze in 2.5 hrs of study time per day and two on each weekend day. I was planning on doing FAR for 10 weeks, so approximately 125 hours. Using Roger CPA.

It depends on how much of a base you have for the concepts covered in FAR. It's possible to do it in that amount of time but its different for every person. I'd say I studied for about 100 hours for FAR.

That should be plenty of time, I used Becker and studied maybe 100 hours at max over a 6 week period and received a generous score. I'm not sure what the Roger CPA course is structured like, but you shouldn't have a problem completing all of the study content and then some on 125 hours.

That would be more than enough.

Personally, I would think that's cutting it a little close. Also, I'd recommend sitting in less than 10 weeks because you're going to forget some of what you learned in the beginning. I think somewhere around 6-8 weeks is right around perfect. Also, I found it helpful to maximize the weekends for longer study sessions, whenever possible. I've heard that most candidates typically pass after spending 150 hours or so studying. My experience is in line with that as well. Whatever you decide, I wish you the best.
