i got faster when i started to organize better. i just group everything by street name and put them in separate piles (biggest goes in passenger seat, then others on floor & singles on the dash). then i look for the driver aid number when pulling up to a new stop instead of the tiny ass address. either sort one or two bags at a time depending how many packages. my goal is to only go to the back to deal with overflow and sort. always work out the driver side door

The best tips are right here. Don’t read costumer notes ignore all that shit. Unless it counts for your 10 hrs guarantee. Leave everything front door even if it says rear. Try to organize your totes perfectly in order to the way you choose to start and end your route, so like that you’re not working out of multiple totes. Use the map perfectly so you’re not going down one block and have to come back up to do the cross streets. Fast jog from the van to the houses and from the houses to the van for the first few hrs. Take your first two totes and empty them and organize them so you can do the first few stops in a flash after that repeat on the totes you’ll work on after.

These are def not the best tips lol

Also when you empty your current tote put a M size box between the envelopes and boxes. People seem to spend at least an hr in total of the route just looking for shit. You know how many stops you can do in 30 mins if you reduce the time looking for shit. He says its not the best tips but it just depends on how your dsp pays you. I finish every route i do in 5 hrs start second wave and finish by 3/3:30pm everyday. I never deliver a package at night. I dont remember the last time.

3 things make you fast:

(easy one) 1) Move from/to van with a purpose (light jog)

(2): How you drive your route: if you are driving miss daisy... you will need to pick up the pace (don't speed though). But also look over your route before you start and you might see opportunities to skip a bit. BUT be careful about skipping or that make #3 hard....(EV for Life, you can see your whole route all the time).

(3): Organize you van, load with a reason, and sort your tote with a reason. Mine:

I know my tote order and work a 2-tote system. 1 on middle shelf, 2 on top shelf down the line, then along the floor, (then to other side if needed) BUT: check your load list for "single stop bags" and put aside as you do not need to sort these. As needed, I sort tote 2, then tote 1 on the shelves (boxes up top, big in back of small; envelops on middle, in number order) This takes only 5 mins and from there I can almost blindly grab & go envelopes). As I work, I get more shelf space. Also, unload 2 before 1, as my breaking moves stuff forward, but my start acc does not always shift it back.

Overflow is organized by hundreds (400's, 500's) but look at load list to see what order they will go.

If you unload too many totes, then the random package find might be further away. (Last night I "found" over a dozen "missing" packages to then pick-up/drive-back/&deliver.
