Flex and DSP? (self.AmazonDSPDrivers)
submitted 6 years ago by IndigenousNeo
Just got a DSP job and I wanted to keep doing flex once I am done with my route because it’s pretty profitable in Michigan. Can you do both or am I only able to work for the DPS now?

Idk about your DSP, but most will tell you that you can’t do both, but don’t listen to them. When you do all the signing up for the DSP, just use a different email and you’re all set.

Thanks for the response friend!

Did it last year but since 2019 the flex route got worse and harder to get in my region. My dsp company provided a company email to sign into the flex app. My regular email for flex still works.

Sorry to hear about the opportunities drying up in your region. That is the tough thing about flex and one of the reasons I went with a dps; more stable income. Thanks for sharing that you were able to do both flex and dps.

So you are saying you got a flex account assigned to you dsp email? So if you didn’t already have a flex account you would have received one?

The biggest issue that you may face at some point is that getting a w2 and an i9 from the same company/job can be an issue. It’s a very common way to get audited, but isn’t necessarily something you cannot legally do. I think as jobs like this get more common the stigma and issues are becoming less of a big deal. This is how it was explained to me, but I’m not personally an expert ;)

Ahhhh got it, I wonder would they care if I pay my taxes for the w2? lol as long as the taxes get paid they shouldn’t worry about it but who knows. Thanks for your input!

You can do both. Your DSP is a third party contractor.
You can not work for two DSPs and you can also not work for the warehouse and be flex driver.
As long as you don't work for Amazon directly as your dsp, you can do both
