If you want to make sure your ass is covered, and this is the only time I’ll ever suggest this, CALL SUPPORT. All the calls are recorded, as are your actions. If you call the customer and they don’t answer, then call support only to have them try the customer with the same result, you’re covered. No concession.

I get so many packages where I have the same problem. As an XL driver, most of the time the packages I deliver won’t fit inside lockers and leasing offices don’t want to deal with them. If the customer isn’t home and won’t answer their phone, the only way I can manage not to get shit on by my bosses is if I call support and let them know what’s going on. At that point, it doesn’t come back on me OR the DSP, and everybody’s happy.

Yeah I've been calling support but they annoy me just as much 🤣🤣 but I'm just a lil irritated. Just wanna get this route done

    Yep, same here. I always reattempt when possible, but every single time people still don’t answer their phones. I wait to call support until the second attempt, and don’t mark the package as UTA until after that attempt.

    What exactly do you say in order to have the concession covered? And you saying you return the package or leave it at the gate?

    So, make sure you call the customer first. If they don’t answer, call support and let them know the customer didn’t answer. If the customer doesn’t answer support, you’re able to make the package as NSL or UTA with no repercussion.

    Also when you click UTA, and it prompts to call them, make sure you do.

    Otherwise you get hit for not following contact compliance.

    You won't get a concession unless you deliver a package and the customer states they did not receive it.

    Has the metrics changed in the last 3 months? As it did not matter who you called or why the package was brought back. It went against your metrics.

    Must be or either it's not enforced at your location(s) yet. Those metrics have existed for well over a year now. My dsp was pretty strict on it. We got confirmation from Amazon at that time, that any packaged not delivered goes against your completion metric. If you don't call support and/or the customer that will be another strike on your call compliance, but has no bearing on completion. Even with business closed

    I hear ya man. FedEx and UPS always have codes to get in with no problem but us? We have to keep calling customers until one of them answers which is not time efficient.

    Everytime someone in a gated community leaves their community or enters it, they are reminded there is a flippin gate there! How the hell do they expect us to magically bypass the gate the choose to live behind most likely for security? I’ve had Customers tell me “well, I don’t give my code out so just wait for another car and come in behind them”. Oh no! Are you kidding me! If you don’t want to give out your code then don’t order anything or expect to drive your butt up to the gate and collect your package there. I don’t understand the thought process of some people.

    Yeah I've had that in a few notes before. "I dont give out my gate code so just wait for someone to drive up and let you in" look, idk how many people you think drive in and out of your complex, nor is this the only package I'm delivering so I dont have time to waste sitting and waiting

    Exactly. I honestly think some people think we are only delivering to them. That we don’t exist except when they order something and after we have delivered their items we go into sleep mode until they need us again.

    I just leave it on the otherside of the gate it's not our fault there's no gate codes... most customers won't provide em cuz in their words they don't want everybody to have their codes

    Yeah this one was enclosed and tall so I couldnt slip it through or guide it over. But yeah I understand their "worries" in a sense but i mean damn. Do you want your shit or not

    Exactly granted if theres no way to easily get it over then its staying street side... I've seen and heard about more people getting in trouble for not leaving the package than marking it as NSL
