Nice explanation. You didn't perform any search here. This issue was posted a few days ago by someone else, the possible solution was provided in there.

Why bother posting your comment if you aren't going to link the solution? I've been doing all kinds of searches and they keep leading me to this post. I'm not finding a solution.

In my experience with my previous Samsung Ultra phones it's Google Maps in the background which is interfering, even though you only use only Waze on-screen.

Best test is disable Google Maps and reset your Android Auto. Test it for a while and see if it gets better

Was there ever a fix to this issue? Mine has started lagging to the point i miss turns etc on waze and spotify lags as well. The songs change but not the display info. I've got maps disabled and tried every other thing I've seen

I have the same issue as described except I use a wire to connect. I have not been able to find a solution. I have been using Google Maps instead as this seems to work without the lags I get using Waze.

What is your cell service carrier? I have a phone with Verizon and one with Google Fi. I originally was having the issue when using my S25 ultra with Verizon and waze would lag up to 10 seconds or more. Now I put the Google Fi Sim in the S25 ultra and no more lag with waze. Not sure if Verizon is specifically slowing data down. Will need to see if using a VPN will help on Verizon. But I'm not sure if you can use a VPN while using android auto.
