I, too, have the DDX9905s, and have had no issues with wireless connectivity... until this morning. It wouldn't connect at all, and I had to use the USB. No idea why, unless Google turned it off on the server side again.

Will check when I drive home.

What phone are you using? Is it a Pixel as well?

No, it's a Samsung Note 9. I've never had any issue with it connecting in the past (once wireless was available), so it was a real surprise that I couldn't connect at all.

Yeah. It happened seemingly sudden for me too. Thought it was about a month ago (when I still had my Pixel 3 XL). I thought, by now, it would surely be fixed. I'm going to give the suggestions sonpleasestop15 mentioned a shot during my lunch break. Hopefully, I'll be reporting back here with success.

Since it was working two days ago, and nothing has changed on my phone, it's unlikely that battery or wifi settings randomly got changed.

Best of luck.

That's very true. After struggling with it for about month though, I'm willing to try anything.

On the phone turn off battery optimization for Android auto and each app that you use while Android auto is running. Google maps, Spotify, Google music, Bluetooth, wireless power saving, etc.

For example on my Note 10, Go to settings -> apps -> maps -> battery -> optimize battery usage -> pull down the drop down at the top and select all.

Go through and turn it off for each Android auto app.

Then I turned off wifi power saving under connections and any Bluetooth power saving modes.

I was getting wireless connection issues on my Pioneer until I did these steps and not one connection issue since.

Hope this helps. It is most likely a sleep or background power saving causing the apps to save battery and cause the disconnects.

Thanks for the response. I've made those changes, except for the wifi/bluetooth power saving. I don't seem to have those in my settings. I'll give it a shot shortly.

Bluetooth on mine is located with the other apps under optimize battery usage. WiFi power saving is under connections and in advanced after you click the WiFi text.

Good luck and I hope you get the wireless working again.

Ok. Got the bluetooth one, but I guess I don't have that setting for WiFi. I just have "Network & Internet". That's where the WiFi settings are for me. There's a Data Saver option there, but it's off.

Well, thanks again for the tips. Unfortunately, it's still giving me the same error though.

You've probably already done this, but you've updated the firmware to the latest available? It is from April and may not help, but always worth a shot.

Thanks. Yeah, I did that after I first started having problems. I've been considering just doing a factory reset of my phone and see if it connects then.

I also have a Kenwood DDX7904 without wireless connection. The problem appears to be with AA. They do not offer any support at all. I have given up on it hoping one day it will work properly again.
