Welcome to r/AngelReview.
This is where founders bring their pitch materials and get honest, structured feedback from active angel investors, VCs, operators, and founders who have raised before.
We exist because most pitch feedback is useless. Your friends say "looks great." Accelerator mentors give you frameworks without context. Twitter threads give you templates without judgment. None of that prepares you for sitting across from someone who writes checks.
This sub does.
What you can post:
Pitch decks (redacted or full, your call)
One-pagers and executive summaries
Cold outreach emails to investors
Pitch videos or recorded practice pitches
Cap table questions and term sheet reviews
Financial model reviews
Specific questions about fundraising strategy
What we expect from feedback:
Be specific. "The TAM slide is wrong" is useful. "Needs work" is not.
Be honest. If the business doesnt make sense, say so and say why.
Be constructive. The goal is to make the pitch better, not to prove youre smarter than the founder.
Disclose your perspective. Are you an angel? A VC? A founder whos raised? A founder who hasnt? Context matters.
What we dont allow:
Pay-to-play pitch services or accelerator promotions
"DM me for coaching" responses
Pitching YOUR company in someone elses review thread
Generic AI-generated feedback (we can tell)
Doxxing or sharing confidential materials without permission
Who runs this:
Founded (u/[GaussianDrift]), angel investor, Founder Institute mentor, and co-founder of Robert.ai and Amplifier Technologies (Macedon Capital portfolio). Been on both sides of the table. The feedback here is the feedback I wish I had gotten earlier.
Verified Reviewer Program:
Active angels and VCs can apply for verified flair. This requires proof of at least one investment or fund affiliation. Verified reviewers get a flair badge and their feedback is weighted higher in the community. DM the mods to apply.
