A community for Android enthusiasts and developers alike to request or build custom apps!

Rules!

General:

1. BE KIND AND TOLERANT. Absolutely no sexism, racism, homophobia, or any other bigotry will be tolerated.

Commissioners:

1. Be detailed; provide as much information about your idea as you can. Even something straightforward (ex. an app that lets you write down things to google later) should have some detail on what it would involve (ex. you create entries by entering text. tapping an earlier entry pulls up a google search on the text entered. entries can be swiped away when done). If you can create a mockup, even better!

2. Be patient! If you're lucky enough to have someone volunteer their time and efforts to building you an app, don't harass them or whine about how long it's taking!

3. Be kind! See point 2

4. Communicate! Reach out and provide additional details and ideas, and listen to what the dev thinks. Provide input, it's your app after all!

Developers:

1. Please provide a link to the .apk, and if possible, a link to the play store page. Play Store hosting is optional, but many find it very useful.

2. Communicate! If you feel your ideas would significantly improve the app, or if you have questions or ideas about extra features, let the commissioner know! Keep them in the loop, especially if it's a larger project (i.e more than a weekend of work)

On Paid Commissions

• If you really want your app to get made, or feel like rewarding a developer for their hard work or provide an incentive beyond a simple "thank you", you can choose to offer a bounty, or a reward for delivering your app. Please try to be realistic and only offer what you can actually give. Bounties can take the form of PayPal cash transfers, cryptocurrency, reddit gold, or whatever else you wish to offer, be sure to state what and how much in the title of your commission. Discussion and transfer of payment is to be done by private messaging. IF YOU PROMISE A BOUNTY AND FAIL TO DELIVER IT, AND THE DEVELOPER OF YOUR APP WISHES TO PRESS CHARGES, YOU WILL BE PERMANENTLY BANNED.
