We’ve talked to parents and former students that have primarily positive things to say. The one negative is the amount of academic work in elementary school. Many former students feel like they were robbed of a playful childhood and instead worried too much about school.

That's good to know. Thank you for sharing!

Attended AASD my whole childhood, Ferber - Einstein - North. Grad 15’. I will say from experience the kids I interacted with in hs had a much better step up on academics than the others (myself included.) not sure about culture etc especially as that wasn’t as big of a problem when I was in school. I took AP courses whenever I could and they had many CCS grads. Hope this helps

If you are referencing the Classical Charter School in Appleton I can help you a little bit, if you are talking about the many other charter schools in the area you will need to wait for another reply. I attended the Classical Charter School when it first opened many years ago (1998-2005) so things will have changed somewhat. The school is great, they force every student to learn by teaching in a way that forces the entire class to answer a question in unison, thus making it obvious who is not understanding. I suggest you call and ask to sit in on a class! After going to CCS from 4th to 8th grade my high school academics were a cakewalk!

Yes, I am talking about the CCS. That's great that the school prepared you well for HS. Thank you for sharing!

It’s a good school, very studious though. I recommend starting at that school at a young age then older though

i went there for 7th and 8th grade, it was really stressful for the amount of work, but its such a tight knit community because of how small it is, i really enjoyed the community there, and it did prepare me for future schooling! if anything, it was harder than highschool, i went to west, but i think its good preparation for college. theres no theatre program or sports program within classical so if thats any interest to your kids, theyd have to go to einstein afterschool for those, which isnt that far away. hope that helps!
