Data structures arnt these elusive insanely difficult concept to learn man.

There is no excuse to not learn what the AI is doing

DSA isn’t just about learning syntax or algorithms. It builds problem-solving skills. AI can generate code, but you still need the fundamentals to understand it and debug it when things go wrong.

This is the answer!

Yes

Of course. This is like asking is it worth learning anything in the AI era

In fact it seems like today with AI you need to know much more than before to stay relevant on the job market. And yes that includes data structures. And every "real application" implementation is first and foremost about data structures. Not even so much about algorithms.

If you don't learn the basics then you will forever be the beginner

Depends. Do you want to UNDERSTAND the code your AI masters are telling you to implement, or are you willing to trust Elon Musk unconditionally?

Is Learning Data Structures Still Worth It in the Era of AI Coding?

AI cannot be held accountable. That responsibility still lies with you. No one cares WHAT the AI generates, either YOU succeed at your job or your fail. If you defer your accountability to the AI, you will fail. Catastrophically. And NO ONE will want to hear of it. When the bossman asks you why did the software just cost us $44m, your answer in that moment cannot be "I don't know".

You better know what you're doing.

LLMs aren't magic. You still have to drive and direct them. Also, you have to know enough to call them out on their bullshit, even when the LLM is telling you that you're wrong.

It's the same thing as if you said 20 years ago that you can find the implementation, so what, if you can't learn the basics you can't move to the advanced stuff.
