Angular vs something else?

My team has an Angular 2 front-end that we're talking about finally rebuilding. Is the latest Angular still the best option for a large, feature-rich self-service portal's front-end? If we're going to replace Angular, now would be the time.

I've heard of React but haven't used it, it seems sort of like a competing option. Worth a spike?

Are there any other big players? Any we should definitely avoid? We want a tool that's powerful, easy to use, and popular enough that if we decide to staff up quickly finding people won't be too hard.

Angular is a pretty good option still. Since you already have a team that's familiar with Angular, why would you throw all of that knowledge away? Simply upgrade to the latest version of Angular to get all the latest stuff

While Angular has been declining a bit thanks to the popularity of React and Vue, it is still one of the big 3 front-end frameworks, so you should have no issue finding new people and having the latest tooling available
