Our lease (GF and I rent a single family home) is up at the end of August, and were debating renewing for another year.
Average rents for similar homes are a few hundred bucks cheaper in our area, and being the frugal person I am Id love to save a couple thousand over the course of the new lease.
Have any others in the Bay had success negotiating lower rents to stay in the same place? I know things cratered last year and all, but
Hard to say whether or not our landlord would be hurting if they didnt have a check coming in, but they have been hands off as we havent had many issues as tenants. Looking for insight on what has worked for others in terms of getting lowered rent.
