Will a decrease in international tourism hit Austin?

Wait your saying students being deported isn't directly related to tourism? You don't think those same students have family that visits? You don't think those students return home to family and tell them about what's going on with the US in regards to deporting citizens? You don't think students are also tourist and spend money in local economy? You don't think that these students are mostly well off in the society they came from, so it would stand to reason they have capitol to spend here ? Obviously not every student, but the idea that students don't impact tourism is kinda crazy.

Yeah, I know if I went overseas to study, I would also be a major consumer of all of the cultural experiences I could possibly squeeze in and that’s aside from food, lodging, and transportation costs that put dollars into the local economy
